Who is Sarah?

My name is Sarah and I am the founder and the name behind Sarah DiVito Doula.

I grew up caring for babies and children which naturally grew into a career as a doula. I remember hearing a friend talking about his wife’s work as a doula and it was as if I found a missing piece to my puzzle. I knew right away that this is what I was meant to do. With this revelation, I studied, trained, and certified as a doula for labor and postpartum as well as a childbirth educator.

Sarah DiVito Doula mission statement, “an ally to all parents, parent’s to be, and children” is the philosophy I carry within this work. I believe it is the necessary approach to ensure that everyone receives top of the line support as they grow into their roles of parents and families.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am aware of and sensitive towards the specific needs of members of my community when it comes to trying to conceive to the postpartum experience. I am dedicated to empowering LGBTQIA+ birthing people and families and advocating for our rights socially and politically.

Although my passion for doula work is deeply ingrained in my life, outside of work, I also enjoy art (sculpture is my favorite), and my pets, Luna and Banner.

What is Sarah DiVito Doula?

Welcome all parents to Sarah DiVito Doula! This is a small business born out of a life long jersey girl moving to the Triangle of North Carolina. I have been dedicated to the well being of parents and parents-to-be since 2018.

Founded in 2021 in a small suburb of New Jersey, the Sarah DiVito Doula mission statement is An Ally To All Parents and Parents To Be. I have worked with families in all shapes and sizes to promote strength, empowerment, and autonomy in pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum through doula support and childbirth education classes.

I offer multiple services to help you grow: childbirth education classes, postpartum and infant care doula support, prenatal consulting, labor doula support, and placenta encapsulation. The goal of these services is to build your confidence and strength and dispel your fears and concerns. Think of me as your pregnancy and parenthood concierge!

As your doula, instructor, or coach, I will be offering support made just for you. I am just as dedicated to your day to day questions and concerns as I am to assisting you through labor or overnight postpartum care. I am committed to you and your parenting experience - whatever it looks like!
